When the solar eclipse occurs in 2024, Edinburgh, Indiana, will be in the middle of the path of totality! Join us to experience more than two and a half hours of the eclipse, including nearly four minutes of totality.

The eclipse is from 1:50 p.m. to 4:23 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, with totality from approximately 3:06 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.

Downtown Edinburgh is celebrating with vendors, food, and activities for all ages! Our theme is "Total Eclipse of the Art" and we will have lots of opportunities for attendees to show their creative side! We're planning chalk art contest, art gallery, community painting, chainsaw carving demonstration, cookie contest and more!

Out Total Eclipse of the Art theme includes a mural installation downtown at 126 E Main Cross Street. We are excited to announce mural from local artist Chelsie Liberati was chosen! This project is made possible by a grant from the IU Center for Rural Development.
