Jeania Louise Turner Badger-A-60-2

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeania Louise Turner, age 58, on January 7, 2025, in Edinburgh, Indiana. Born on January 9, 1966, in Seymour, Indiana, to Charles Turner and Carol (Sandlin) Tungate, Jeania touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit. Jeania is deeply mourned by her three sons, David Eli (Danielle) Burton II, Corey (Haley) Burton, and Lucas Burton and her companion Jim Scott. She is also survived by her parents, Carol Tungate, Charles and Patricia Turner; her siblings, Eric (Katina) Turner and Darlene Echo (Sean) Branch; and her grandchildren, Aaden, Phoenix, Preston, Blaze, and Alice Burton. Jeania was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, including Jacob Balderas, Drew Titara, Abby Titara, Kaydence Witt, Patrick Branch, and Benjamin Branch. Jeania was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claude and Pearlie Sandlin, Buford and Hester Turner, and Charles and Mary Callahan, as well as her stepbrother, David Titara Jr., and uncles Gary Sandlin, Harold Turner, Samuel Turner and aunt Cora Jean Murphy. A 1984 graduate of Edinburgh Community High School, Jeania dedicated much of her life to helping others. In her younger years, she worked as an event planner at Holiday Inn and later in home care, providing a compassionate hand to senior citizens by assisting with chores and health needs. She was a member of the Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene. Throughout the years she would find great enjoyment in serving in the children’s program. Jeania’s love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was unparalleled. She found joy in attending their events and spending time with them at every opportunity. Known for her servant’s heart, Jeania was always eager to lend a hand, whether she was helping family and friends with daily tasks or cooking and preparing meals for church events and family gatherings. In recent years, she had an ear to listen, often offering up scripture to those who needed it. An avid lover of nature, Jeania enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, fishing, and hunting with her family and friends. She also took in many concerts, plays, and sporting events with her sons. Whether spending time with family or providing a meal to those in need, Jeania left a mark on all who knew her. A celebration of Jeania’s life will be held on January 15, 2025, at 2:00pm with visitation for the public from 11:00am-2:00pm, at the Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana.
